Finally got myself into the Grand Seiko game.

Picked up a Japan exclusive SBGA397... Only members of the GS9 group were allocated it. Rumored to be under 100 pieces.

Had my mind on a SBGA415 but glad I waited and picked this up instead.

Oh my.. is that purple? A fine watch. Love my sbga375g and that smooth sweeping seconds hand.

Everyone should have a 6309. Here is the least plentiful of all 6309's - the 6309-729B
I looked for years before I found one this good:

That's in great condition 👍

The best I've seen so far.

Curious to know if you purchased any of the lesser examples you came across.

Such a beautiful watch, I hear one or two watch makers put down the spring drive, I’m not knowledgeable enough to judge it but damn I don’t think I’ve seen a GS I don’t like. Seems like they are doing a number of LE’s and I’m curios to see how these will do on the secondary market. Nice piece you have, wear it in good health.

My new, to me, presage. Love the dial and the comfort. I put it up for sale locally as I want to get a vintage world timer bad as usual any watch I buy with the intent on “flipping” I grow attached to. I’ll leave it up for sale and hopefully no one will offer me a price close to what I want. Another poor pic it’s night here just trying to catch the dial for you.

I love the pop of the seiko orange. I’ve been hunting down a few but all the ones I’ve seen are well over 40mm. What is the case size on that model if I may be so bold as to ask.
