Some great Tsunami’s here. People often ruin them by polishing, destroying the definition and not realising they are killing the value of the watch.

I do like Silverwaves... There were 6 variants of the Silverwave produced from 1961 - 1965. Often overlooked by collectors, but one of my favourites. They were really a snorkelling watch predating the 62mas, and were the first Seiko to have a Tsunami caseback.(which didn't reappear until the 6306-7000 in 1976):

Has anyone else noticed an uptick in Seiko's popularity these past couple months? Seems like there's more Seiko's on eBay's "highest watched" list right next to gilt Submariners and Speedmasters.

There's a lot of people around the world collecting vintage Seiko's nowadays. One reason is affordability. A few hundred Pounds (or Dollars) can buy a good collectable vintage Seiko. The range of models produced is huge, and there are many classic divers and chrono's. And Seiko produce some of the best quality value for money watches in the world.

These are my favourite modern Seiko's.... Both are Spring Drive Grand Seiko.
If I kept just one modern Seiko which would it be?......

Titanium SBGA011 Snowflake. Surely the most iconic modern Seiko of all:
9R65 Spring Drive movement.

or:

Titanium SBGC013 Chronograph. Limited Edition of 400.
Super Accuracy 9R96 Spring Drive GMT, Chronograph.

Definitely the snowflake. My buddy has one as well and it is beautiful in person

Tough decision. Love the snowflake dial but the idea of timing court hearings to the exact second is nice as well. Ok snowflake wins as the Count from Sesame Street would love to count off the seconds of the hearing, judges frown on a participant saying "one second ha ha ha, two second ha ha ha, etc..."
