Well after many years I’ve acquired a Pepsi diver . I’ve been wanting the rubber strap version and herd that the Japanese market ones have the day in Kanji eg Japanese. So thought that would be a bit more authentic that our European ones with English & French days . Still hinting for one but picked this Arabic one to add to my growing Seiko family . I look forward to years of enjoyment . C3C9A831-8D69-4898-B27C-F264D60CA8C9.jpeg BB330533-DC3F-477C-A138-B68897097227.jpeg

That’s a Japanese made one. It’s a myth they all have Kanji/English if J models.

Funny Most US market ones either K or J models have Spanish/English day wheels. I’ve never seen a French/English one.

    Great piece!

Mine on a custom 1 piece strap with matching stitching.

    Thanks!

There is an American seller that you can specify a kanji wheel with on a J model if they have them in stock.

    https://www.longislandwatch.com

It’s worth emailing them and getting on a list.

I picked up these two yesterday... they’re in transit, so these are the seller’s pics... I’d be interested to hear other’s opinions as both dial variants seem to be fairly rare, as far as I can tell.

This one is pretty cool... it’s got a very 62MAS-like dial with almost an MM300 case... 38.5mm case and 18mm lugs. The bracelet is a non-seiko vintage bracelet that I think works with the overall package.

Next up is this Sportsmatic calendar... 37.5mm case and 19mm lugs... I love the dial... reminiscent of a Polerouter but with a more Seiko-like casual vibe. The crosshairs dial sealed it for me ::love::

Overall very excited for these two to arrive next week

Here's my 6309-7049 that I bought new in '78 in London, Ontario. It features EN/FR for the Canadian market.
