Is this allowed? Lorus is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seiko with limited distribution. A review popped up as a "suggestion" on Youtube -- normally ignorable but this looked interesting. A neat field watch at 38mm case diameter (just my size) and a darn good price of £24.99 at every high-street jeweler in the UK, plus Argos which seems to have good stocks.

What don't I like? I could live without the day/date which is a bit fiddly to set, but I suppose it only has to done 5 times year, and the one-piece strap looks cheap compared to the watch's head. But hey, that price!

Available in most European countries, western Pacific rim (inc Aus & NZ) and Canada. Not in the USA. Lorus Lumibrite RJ655AX9 is the reference.

I think this one is going to get more use than its beater status would indicate.

Thanks to @CPRwatch for providing the original inspiration
and @Spruce for passing the knowledge down the line.
Thanks too to @timesofplenty for the education:
Eulit Palma Pacific perlon strap has just arrived from Germany (chroonoo.com). Probably looks too tight but I'm still working out shaping/flexibility.
SRPK15J Presage was a (pre-owned) pre Christmas splurge; reminds me of something my Dad had in the Seventies/Eighties but wore on a black leather cuff band.

Tropical formal or Summer casual?
Might have to invest in a Safari suit now.
Anything being under utilised in the wardrobe @JimInOz ?
