Funny how you can fall in and out of love with a watch...this guy tends to sit most days but I've found a strap I like for it and it's been on my wrist multiple days straight this week.
the yield of another lowball bid coming in - can't resist poor photography. Shame about the dial, but that case is lovely. In house certainly - Movado's cal 90M, modular chronograph. Late 1940s, I'd say.
Don't know if you guys are familiar with this watch, it's a Ventura V-Tec Alpha I got from my uncle several years ago.
I've not seen another. That case style looks very 1930's gotham style Art Deco but you know better than me. And, the dial doesn't bother me a bit; in fact, I kinda like it because of the evenness of the aging. Maybe not your best catch but definitely a keeper! Triples are more rare than home runs and usually more exciting!!!
I'm wearing my RCN Tudor that was serviced September 01, in remembrance of 911. Have a smooth 80% Stroh's Rum to salute!
I give the Stroh a little Pepsi for mix, as straight up it goes down easy, but burns all the way back up. It does grow hair on your chest!
Quite a story. yes, my interior caseback is inscribed 09/01 (Sept 01). It is ominous and I hadn't realised it until my watchmaker pointed it out to me.
The devils in the details. Was going to sell this one, then I wear it and change my mind.Decisions decisions.
Nothing at the moment, in hopeful anticipation of a "new" and freshly serviced addition later today... Its journey to me from Le Sentier began many decades ago.
