Curious, are those original sub-dial hands on the -2 or were they originally more like the -1 sub-dial hands? The man hands are the same design, seem to clash with the straight sub-dial hands.

Good question. The subdial hands on the 14364-2 (bottom watch) are painted black - the watch came to me that way. I suspect that a prior owner had this modification done to increase readability. I do believe the hand shape is correct for this serial number range, however.

In my observations, it was during this period that Omega transitioned the subdial hands, across multiple references, to the straight, simple indexes.

Having said that, I’m always prepared to be corrected. The only way I learn.

Oh, and the main hands are not interchangeable between these watches. All the hands probably transitioned at the same time, with the dial change.

EDIT: Here’s that transition in Speedmasters:

I see the Emory hat snuck in there. I'm sure the folks in Columbus were confounded by that one. Myself as well (PhD, History, 2001). "Emory Football--Still Undefeated!" We can add another classic college rhyme from Atlanta: "I'm a rambling wreck from Georgia Tech" "I'm tiddly-tot from Agnes Scott!"
Fellow Emoroid...yeppers...the OSU machine didn’t know what to think about my Emory hat...or my KA jersey since there’s no KA chapter at OSU. Double whammy!

Speaking of GT and Agnes Scott...yeppers...we Emory KAs would venture to both...

The KAs at GT would invite us to their house...and I’d always ask, “So where are the hot girls?” Back in the 1980s, the male to female ratio was something like 7:1 at GT...so not too many hot girls there...but the few girls that I did see all wore pocket protectors.

So this one time at Agnes Scott...my KA brothers dared me to ask where the hot girls were. No problem...I can do that! “So where are the hot girls?” And now get this...they asked us to leave! Unbelievable!

Modern Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch on an Omega black coated nylon fabric NATO for today [or maybe that was yesterday]...

Good morning, Gentlemen. Today’s choice is a 1962 Constellation Ref. 14900 gold cap on a black crocodile strap. I don’t bring this one out very often. Completely original, except for the strap, and in mint condition.
