Otherwise known as the Flatback.....I prefer '65 to '68's, myself. Bullitt and McQueen made the '68 or Elenore famous. Just sayin'.

The original Eleanor in the 1974 film was a flatback (actually called a Sportsroof). A 1971 car made to resemble a '73.

The "Eleanor" you're thinking of was made famous by Nicolas Cage - it didn't exist before the 2000 remake!
