Happy Saturday - still rocking my red Tudor. Makes breakfast a bit tastier and the garden a bit cooler...

Homemade strawberry ice cream and cones, the kids (and I) are checking on it every two minutes.

Waiting for the eurotunnel home!

How is the Eurotunnel experience? A friend is desperate to get to her place in Limousin because it's been neglected since February, and she has been "isolating" (on her own terms of course).

Super mate - no hassle at all. Approx 30 mins side to side and not much waiting about. The downside is you have to drive through Kent so quite a way depending on where you are - but very easy indeed.

Thanks, good news. The trip to Dover is A11 -> M11 -> M25 -> M20 so there are a number of notorious trouble spots. What happened to those flying cars we were promised 60 years ago? 236076_front_3-4_web.jpg

While wading through all the missed posts (3,406 to go) I stopped at 2nd June 2020. Something odd just occurred to me: on this day the era of Mad Dogs came to an end, with Delta Airlines last commercial flights of their MD-88s and-90s ending at Atlanta Hartfield, (Delta was the last airline to operate these aircraft)....but no comment from @Mad Dog? I wonder how many of those 34 years of service you were in command? So @Mad Dog here’s a buzzy wrist alarm

to remind you to tell us tales of daring do and your days in the MDs.

Continuing on a 321 theme

Ah, patina.

I’ve finally managed to pry all those Subs off my wrist.

Haven't posted here for a while. Wearing my slightly modified 3592.50 (1039 bracelet with a faded bezel). Almost passable as a vintage 😁

I flew the MD88/90 for 11 years at Delta. My last flight on the MD88/90 was on 30AUG17...see pics below. I was displaced off the MD88/90 in Cincinnati and then unfortunately failed B737 training...and was subsequently diagnosed with adjustment disorder and obstructive sleep apnea. I also lost my FAA medical certificate in the process. I haven’t flown at Delta since that last MD88 flight on 30AUG17 and I’m currently on medical disability at Delta. I’m attempting to get my FAA medical back so that I can return to training. Also, I was never in command on an MD88/90 at Delta since I’m a First Officer [co-pilot].
