I mentioned the Hamilton 952 in a previous post. This is the 19-jewel version of the aforementioned 950, 950E, and 950 B. There were fewer of these produced than the others in this series, and they are becoming more sought after as the prices on the higher jewelled models aspire out of reach. As much as I like my 950B, I much prefer the older models from this series. They are (to my eye) much more esthetically pleasing with the nicer damask, higher finish, and gold jewel settings. The case on this one has hinged front and rear covers, and inner curette, and it is typical of the cases the 952 was sold in. I don’t own a 950E, but maybe, some day. Likewise, a 951.
Monday, Monday, can´t trust that day Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way Oh Monday mornin´ you gave me no warnin´ of what was to be Oh Monday, Monday, how could you leave and not take me
Another fun loaner from @Andy K The mighty Speedmaster 125. It's my first time noticing that the applied OMEGA letters and the 125 on the dial are NOT connected. They appear to be individually applied. Here with reflections off of something more gold colored. And here compared to my modern Broad Arrow and my vintage piepan Connie which pre-dates the 125: Both clearly have connected letters, which would be presumably easier to manage and apply as a single part. Dunno if Omega did the non-connected thing with other models, but it sure seems to show they were paying extra attention to this Anniversary model. YaY!
