My search for a diver's watch to use as my diving/beach beater has ended. This one feels remarkably solid, wears comfortably and left decent amount of $$ in the watch fund allowing further hunting
When In Paris, do as the Parisians do OK, was going to insert a picture here but the internet at this hotel is running backwards. I "tried on" a Jaeger-LeCoultre Doumetre a Chronographe. What a watch! The assistant at Gallerie Lafayette was a bit of a WIS and even though I said I'm not buying and just admiring, he pulled it out and let me wear it and examine it close up. As we were leaving he presented me with a JLC "catalogue" which is a hard-cover 250 page book We walked out of there with smiles on our faces and headed for a cafe for a coldie. Pics to follow as soon as I can get some bandwidth.
Those have an almost cult-ish following. Let us know how you like it after you've owned it a while. Hardly ever see them for sale so the guys who buy them must really enjoy wearing them.
Switched to a lovely 18 K bumper this evening, although I am on duty the whole weekend Regards, Reiner
Hi Alam, very nice, do you know the case size on this, is it a 42mm or the bigger size? Would get rid of my BC3 Advanced DLC for one of these if it were a 42mm case size!
Switch to...my dad's 14K Omega from the '50s (cal. 351). Nothing special, but I'd never part with it!
This one is the TT1 Diver, believe is the first generation model, Oris specs state 43mm but it really feels/wears smaller.
Love the lume on these with that dial and sword hands...have an Electric Blue with similar lume, very bright.
Just picked up this burgundy band at Portabello (quite comfy) to contrast the rust effect of the dial...not to everyone's taste, nice as a daily..
