This one to brighten up my day (and some lovely sunshine outside my office windows). (Archive shot): Bulova Marinestar - Poor (but happy) mans Cairelli CP.
Really want to switch out to my old dial. I never realized how much the (faded?) grey enhances the dial. It's all black here.
Inspired by @Darlinboy black memovox. I dug up an old pic of a watch I would have been wearing had I managed to find a swan neck regulator for it (cal 12-120). This has been sitting with my watch guy for exactly 2 years waiting for the part (he is actually skilled enough to make it too but just too busy), ref. 96 black dial sold by Walser Wald during WW II. I pray for the part to appear once a week....
I was of the understanding that if all the lume material comes out of the hands, they should be repacked, otherwise, they can deform, bend out of shape, etc. I've seen chrono hands deformed, but never hour/minute hands.
A new arrival for me and my first Longines chrono. This one is a circa 1962 ref. 7414 cal 30 CH. Not perfect by any means but all the same very nice on the wrist
Since I bought my Speedmaster a few weeks ago, it hasn't been off my wrist. Fancied a bit of a change today...
I found an an unauthorized, though fascinating 'bather' in the pool today...either he took a liking to my watch, or he was wondering if that strap was to be his eventual disposition, too!:
