The 4th of my summer watch finds. A 1967 Bulova Diamond Excellency model. It doesn't have what I believe would be the original diamond cut crystal, but for $20 at that same junk shop, I grabbed it. If someone has the correct crystal and wants to sell it, please feel free to reach out.
I spent the weekend being a watch collector. (Didn’t gather anything, but put out plenty of feelers. We shall see.) Three of us had an exhibit at a weekend celebrating the days of steam locomotives. Fun, fun. Very hoarse today. Anyway, the railroad watches and display props are put away until next spring, so back to wearing a favourite. My 50 year old (almost) Omega DeVille F300 tuning fork model chronometer. A presentation watch to someone in 1977. Sadly, he passed away. The watch wasn’t working, so the family let it go. I have never seen a watch as totally gummed up is this one was. Recondition, new cell, new crystal (cost me more than the watch did!) Love it!
