Trash day so this one is perfect for taking out the trash and rolling it to the curb in the wheelie bin. It's also perfect as a "town watch" today with a couple of civic functions to attend.

The last of the big 18size Hamiltons on hand here is the "star of the show," their top-of-the-line model of the big Hamiltons of the 1895-1920 time period, the railroad grade, 23-jewel 946 with its movement showing rich damaskeening. This one dates to 1909. After service and attentive regulating it stayed spot on the minute for five weeks straight. My sloppy standards consider a watch good if it stays within a minute for seven days. This one may be the most accurate watch in the menagerie.

I ought to go ahead and seek out an 18size 17-jewel and even an early Hamilton 16-jewel watch to round out the collecting tangent of 18size Hamiltons.

It's silver cased and currently on a solid silver chain which was a good friend's grandfather's chain and was gifted to me.

Haven't worn this in a while and i've apparently put on a little weight since last worn. Have to go check the scale now.

Very nice. Love the finish of the movement and the case is amazing.

We moved houses earlier in the summer and my watches have been packed away. Trying to get back in the habit of wearing them again, starting with this red Sub 1680 from the early 70s.

Cheating again since it was a few days ago and apologies for the bad watch pic; it was so bright outside and I struggled to get a good one.
