After getting some great news today made a little run to the store for me and the misses to enjoy later this evening.
Monkey Shoulder. Great Scottish peat-extract. Smooth and none intrusive. Perfect after a very busy week.
@Alpha Doh! I stop reading this thread for two days and look what happens! If a third one magically appears, let me know!
Gosh, Guelerct... (that's a keyboard full after "a few") Glad to see a beer drinker among the group.. Although I do enjoy very much Australian Red, or White, my general drink in warm climes is beer. I even have my own on home brew/ keg set up at home! Recently returned from our annual vacation in China. Initially in Chongqing, Sichuan, it was so hard to find a cold beer, (Mandarin: "dong pijau ma" that is, "do you have a cold beer?"), and also a cold meal. ("La bu la") that is, no chilli! Funny how cold a warm beer felt after a bowl full of chili.. This was on the train... This was the train... or actually the rear of the train on the next track that was neck and neck with us for 20 odd minutes... Before departing elsewhere. And this was the speed!! Another meal another day... Those little white egg cups are full of alcohol at 65% proof. Gambei!! There is nothing like eating out in China. Actually this table has plates of Grasshopper, and Bee Lavea! Among other dishes...
Almost certain I can acquire another from a nearby relative, i'll drop you a pm as soon as find out for sure
Visited the Suntory distillery this afternoon hoping to ease the effects from jetlag, sampled some Hibiki 21 y/o, Hakushu 18 and couple of others.....I'd say Hibiki 21 hands down over all the others.
Pick this up at the Duty Free over the weekend... Now to decide what to enjoy tonight.... 1992 LittleMill 1979 Bunnahabhain or 34 yo Benriach...
Will be trying a little sample later on, sure adds a whole new meaning to the expression "on the sauce"
