So what does it feel like wearing non-vintage?

A bit of a relief to be honest Ash, no hassles, no worries about losing, scratching etc.
I know it will tell the time accurately, need very little maintenance in my ownership.
I'm not saying I am a changed man, anyway who would know it is modern?
It is a very convincing homage indeed.

What an absolute beauty! I can’t wait to get my RM LE!

Did you get a sharkskin strap for yours? Which buckle do you have on yours?

I heard someone on one of these pages say they chose the Speedmaster with a more classic movement because Rail and Seamasters will be very complicated and expensive to service when that day comes. Would you think that should be a concern for us?

Omega have set service prices for chronographs and non-chronographs. A Speedy is significantly more expensive to service than a SM or RM.

I think the implication that OP was making is that these RM’s and SM’s with their coaxial latest movements will preclude anyone but Omega from servicing them. The corollary also seemed that owners would be at the mercy of Omega both for cost of the service and whatever other “fixes” they feel like applying.

Absolutely stunning. (PS - in the future everything becomes vintage) - to paraphrase Philip K Dick.

I believe independents can be certified to repair coaxials, but doing so necessitates that the independent invest in the tools required to service them, so not many have done it yet....
