Wrist size 8 and a bit, problem with Speedmasters?

When I bought my Longines I had to wait to get a longer leather strap. I was lucky there was a longer original strap. Would a standard leather of steel strap fit my 8" wrist? If not, is there an option for a longer original strap? I can't find the information anywhere.
In general it seems to be hard to come by this information for a watch.

My wrist is right about 8" as well. The Pro bracelet fits very nicely right out of the gate with no alterations. The accompanying NATO will not be a problem to fit. However, best bet is to take a trip to your local AD/OB and try one on to be sure. Some of it will come down to personal preference on fit and location on your wrist.

I second the idea of a trip to an OB to try one on. 8" wrists are right in the cusp of what the standard bracelet and leather deployment strap can handle. NATOs - no problem. Here's the co-axial 44.25 model on my 7 3/4" wrist.
