While casting about for birth year watch ideas, I came across some listings for Patek Ellipses. While not a hot item these days, they did catch my eye.

If anyone has a wrist shot (especially of the Ref. 3748), I'd love to see it. This feels like the kind of thing you need to see in context... kind of like choosing a Reverso size (I like the Medium Classic Small Seconds).

 

I've tried these on a couple of times, and they are not very big. I have a 7-inch wrist. I love the idea of owning a Patek, but I think it would be hard to pull this off. I do own a JLC Reverso, and it fits and feels much better, in my opinion. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks, that's super helpful. My own wrist is a flattish 6.5-6.75in and I'm thinking that would still look pretty petite on my wrist.

This is where I have to try and exercise an "It's OK to appreciate it from afar" attitude.
