Looks original to me, though the hands have been re-lumed.

Thank you for quick reply (which strengthens my argument to buy this ;)). Would you consider 350$ to be a fair price? I believe it´s a jumbo (36mm), it says C2577 -5SC in the caseback.

I'd require photos of the case and movement before commenting on value.

The case back inside is in the previous post, here is the outside. Sorry for being a bit to quick on the reply-trigger :)

OK. Obviously there is a fair bit of subjectivity involved, given the type of patina that has developed on the dial. But, assuming that you like that aspect of it, I don't think that the price is out of line.

The large ref. 2577 are quite nice, and of course more expensive when found in better condition. I don't really like the discoloration on the movement, but as long as you are confident that it is working properly, it would only be an aesthetic consideration. The case has seen some polishing, but I've seen worse.

In summary, I would personally find a better example and pay more. But, if you have a limited budget, and/or and comfortable with the state of it, I don't think that you'd be overpaying.

    Cheers,

    Tony C.

Thank you for your advice and opinion! I have to ad that I have not seen the watch in real life and does not know if it´s working or not. With that said i usually enjoy a well worn watch more than a NOS one, I like to use my watches a lot and tend to bang and scratch them from time to time. So I consider this to become my dress beater if I decide to buy it :D

Would sourcing a better dial be any reasonable? Im guessing more expensive than buying a better watch in the first place...

I actually admire your openness to watches like this, as those of us who are more critical have a more narrow pool to consider. I would be careful about the movement, given that it appears to be far from pristine. So it would be wise to get some assurances from the seller that it is working properly.

It isn't out of the question that you might find a better dial to swap, but it may take some time.

The thing with looking at watches like this and thinking can I get a better dial later on.
i myself would be more comfortable buying a nice dial looking for a better case. Just something to think about to all newbies.

Did the 2577 come with drilled and non-drilled lugs? Neither of mine are drilled, although I see examples.

There are both drilled and nondrilled lug versions of 2577's.
