Would this be a good trade?

I want some of your opinions. Trade my seamaster GMT white dial

For a Breitling chronospace gray or blue dial?

If you really want a watch with two rectangular digital displays interrupting the dial then go for it. Personally I wouldn't do it if the other party threw in Kate Beckinsale too.

The Omega great white is a classic thats going up in value due to the limited production years and high demand. The Breitling... well the only Breitling I have any respect for is the Navitimer, the rest are just fillers IMO. That one in particular looks somewhat naff.

The designer side of me doesn't like Breitling because the dials are generally very busy (and IMO, completely cluttered with mostly useless text). Your great white seems like far more of a classic.

Thanks guys for you comments. I don't what I was thinking. I just remember when I first saw this watch way back when I wanted it. When I think of breitling, the chronospace is what I think of. And I was just thinking if another quartz to own. I trend to wear my tag 1500 more because it's a quartz. I don't have to worry about setting the time and adjusting the GMT hand. It's a pain to set it.

Considered maybe a cheap winder for the GMT?

I have. Those winders are non stop. I'd have to set it up on a auto timer. Would it be better to store the watch dead than on a winder?

With one of those as long as its serviced I'd just not care to be honest, parts are dirt cheap and you may as well get the use out of it.

No, no, no, no, no! The Great White is great for a reason. It has a look that is unlike the other SMP's. And it is by far more attractive than the Breitling. Even if I were not in to Omega I would tell you to keep the GW.

True that, not many made, and the most sought after colour combo of those GMTs...
