Worth it to get KM6610 running again?

Hello,

I just pulled a black dial, 14k gold KM6610 out of a family safe. The warranty card was saved and the date of purchase was in 1967. Bad news is the watch is not running, and given the corrosion found on the case and dial I suspect there may be some moisture damage. I left the piece at a trusted watchmaker for a repair estimate, but before I hear back from them I curious how you all would approach this and if the watch is worth sinking money into for repairs.

Thanks.

You said "family safe" and once you say that, no one can say. Your trusted watchmaker will give you a number, and you want to pay it or you don't.

I personally hate this style with a passion (heh maybe not hate) so I wouldn't pay a nickel for it, but it's up to you what you'd want to do.

If you like it it's probably worth fixing, if you want to sell it leave any need repairs to the new owner.

Lugs look sharp, dial isn't horrible. Fix it and enjoy...
