So I have been wearing my Seamaster quite a lot lately and it keeps amazing time since I had it serviced but I got to thinking this watch never had (when I found it) and still doesn't have an original crystal nor crown. Is it worth investing in these two things? Opinions?

It depends on how much OCD you have. 馃榾 Both crystals and crowns are "replacement" items, so I think your watch looks fine. An original signed crown with the proper size and shape for your model is the finishing touch, if you can find one and get it fitted. An original crystal is probably not worth the hassle unless you like the hunt. Replacement crystals will have a similar profile to original crystals and will look identical, excepting for the tiny embossed Omega logo that I think the original crystals from this era had.

You have to ask yourself, will an original crystal or crown sparkle joy?

Is it still possible to buy low-dome Omega crystals? I thought they were all of the high-dome variety.

At least the crown, I think. This case shape look brilliant with the original clover crown.

Thanks guys! I'll look into an original crown as I do like the clover look a tab better than what is currently on it! $62 for a correct crown, may pull the trigger on Ofrei

I'd get an original crystal and crown but maybe that's just me... Just so you know, some replacement crystals don't sit really well on vintage Omegas and actually damage the dial, at least over time... Think about that. 馃榾

You should find cheaper solutions on eBay perhaps, every now and then...

I'd go for just the crown too.
Crystal doesn't really bother me.

I thought a replacement plexi from omega would be the same design as the original from the 1905s except for perhaps a slight difference in the etched logo.

Can anyone confirm if there is much of a difference in the plexis Omega currently stock and the originals from the '50s and '60s?

There is a big difference.. Both in crown and crystal between new omega and vintage parts, but finding vintage ones can be really tough. Cloverleaf crowns are not hard to find though I would get an old flat foot one.

If you're wearing it daily just keep the replacement crystal. But if an original crystal comes up at a good deal, I would probably buy it to have .
