Hnansen
·Hi there!
For sale is a manuel-wind Omega cal. 266 from 1954 which has developed a very nice and warm patina.
Case: The case is in a good condition and as far as I can tell, the case appears unpolished with the "waterproof" engraving still visible on the caseback. It measures 35,5-36 mm without crown and it appears even bigger on the wrist do to the shape of the lugs. As it can be seen, it has a great wrist presence for a vintage watch.
Reference is 2791-5.
Crown: An original and signed Omega crown.
Movement: A manuel-wind cal. 266 in a very good condition. It keeps acceptable time, but if you intend to use it as a daily wearer, I recommend a service. Serial number 14 mil. dates it to 1954.
Dial: An original, unrestored dial which has developed a pleasing and warm patina. Radium still fully intact on the dial as well as the hands.
Hands: Original dauphine hands in good condition.
Crystal: Original and signed crystal in very good condition with no scratches.
I am asking 425 euros / 525 dollars for this piece, excluding postage and fees. The watch located in Denmark (EU).
Payment through bankwire or a personal pick-up. Payment through Paypal Friends and Family are possible if you are a established member of OF with references.
In regards to trades: I am open to trade this piece to a 50´s Seamaster with "beefy" lugs (cal 510, 491 and the likes). Money your way.
No returns unless the watch is grossly misrepresented.
