One for Dennis. Long-car? En-gines?

To screw up in so many ways is marvelous! As if it weren't bad enough to redial an Enicar as a Longines, they used the name of a battery powered watch on the dial of a basic 17j manual wind.

Well, it wasn't all THAT bad. The "Ultrasonic" label is seen on most Enicar watches from the 50's-60's, referring to the ultrasound cleaning of mechanical watch parts before assembly, which - Enicar claimed - enabled their watches to go a full THREE YEARS before the first oil change.

No battery here. 馃榾

The Submariner Blue color (it's not paint - it's either a tint or a plate) is not really the biggest problem here.

I suspect it shouldn't say "T Swiss Made T" on a dial of that era - likely rather "- T SWISS T - " or even just "- SWISS - " (even then, that sometimes ends up under the crystal tension ring anyway). The luminous material is missing in any event (sometimes it never came on gold dress watches), and the minute track looks wrong. Nothing that a trip to International Dial can't fix for $50.

Luckily, Omega owners don't generally try to exercise as much, ahem, creativity as Rolex people!

D

I accept the sealmaster wins hands down, but I do find this sort of thing sad and hilarious as I watch the bay....I mean repaint OK, but do you have to use flouro satin blue? I guess it makes it easier for newbies like me to know it's a redial and saves me posting threads starting "what do you think of this...."

Hint: the hands are the right length.

So to be clear and for future decision making the hands should always just reach the minute track, no exceptions? Thanks, that's helpful....

No, there are exceptions with various Omega models. Like I indicated, the problem here is the minute track. It should look like watch A. Not like the subject watch B.
You will not find these arrowhead Constellations with tracks behind the arrow points if the dial is original/ not refinished.

A.

B.

Slight addition for clarity:

You will not find these arrowhead Constellations with tracks behind the arrow points if the dial is original.

It is a bit different, but it's not a redial. It looks genuine to me but I wouldn't offer more than $800 for it, even though it's in great condition.

Just Google "Omega Dynamic Chronograph".
Heaps of info there.

I don't know what the 6X means (I'm not a Dynamic expert), but it's not a scratching, it appears to be a case makers mark.

Ok....I can't see what's wrong with this dial, to the untrained eye it looks original.

I'm a newb but I think it has something to do with the Swiss T. If it really is luminous I think it should read T swiss made T or Swiss T <25 or L swiss made L

Right?
