Maybe not the worst but I had high hopes about this vintage watch shop until I saw they had this in stock. I'm new to the hobby -- that Omega logo is bad, right? "...features an original, but restored black dial..."

Wrong thread for asking bud, just saying before you get jumped on AND I’m not an expert in whatever model this claims to be but my eyesight works ok and this is a bit ordinary. The Omega sign looks off, the written “Omega “ slopes upwards and the sub-dial doesn’t look to be centred. Or maybe not even round.
Interestingly they appear to have hired my grandson to do the re-lume.

(sorry for the flippancy, long day. Don’t buy it)

Actually Luke, I’m going to follow up on this.
There’s a thread ‘recommended omegas to buy on eBay’ (paraphrased but near enough) to which @dsio and other informed members contribute highly recommended Omegas that you can be certain are a) genuine and b) worth looking at. If you want to get a decent well priced vintage Omega that’s the real deal then I’d start there. You could do worse than following that thread and learning from people who know their stuff.
Off the top of my head there’s been two great pieces the guys have nominated in the last week that sold for under $1k, which would have given you two watches to start your collection that were both miles better than this item you posted and for a similar outlay. good hunting

Just when you thought you had seen it all ..
Got 4 different fonts going on there, if he just included Helvetica, I would have been sold.
