Lol!

“Previous owner added small diamond in top right lug”

And then shaped the crystal to match. 🤦

"Custom finishing".

Yep, I'd say this one is finished all right.

Heat shield failed upon re-entry?

Actually, on second thought: if that were the case, they'd add another 0 to the asking price.

Yeah right, try getting that movement to fit...

...and such a bargain at $542.00.

Translation: "I found some Omega watch parts and don't know what to do with them, yours for $542."

Is that even a cal 570? Doesn't look like it.

Looks like a 501 from a Constellation.

Ebay is unfortunately like the Wild West these days on ‘deals’.

Thankfully it’s not too difficult if something is mis-described.

Well the dang thing sold for way too much. Wonder how long before someone questions it here 😗

I almost bid on it. There is a 1342 I have been watching and almost got last December at 140.00 Which I did just get as the seller lowered the price and there was quite a few watching. 140 to me is the upper limit for quartz. By 20 bucks.

Of course this is NOT a quartz watch. If it was a 630 or 635 I would bid as well. 625 does share some parts with 620. The lack of a sweep hand was the showstopper here.

625 is an odd duck. And this a ladies movement in a gents case. Does represent the lowes of the low Omega hit in the 1970s. Perhaps the purchaser could appreciate that. A plastic watch from that era has better build quality.

Research, Research, Research. Is the single most important thing in this mess.

(Should I take side bets on this being returned and relisted?)

I’ve never cross posted a walk-in watch before, but damn.

Just realized I should have posted this in the “Worst redials” thread as this isn’t an eBay watch. Oops.
