"Very Rare 14K Gold Omega Constellation Chronometer with nice repainted Guilloche Pie Pan Dial Circa 1954.
If you're a collector who is looking for a very rare original vintage Omega timepiece, maybe this Constellation Chronometer from 1954 is just the right watch. Many factors contribute to making this watch very unique and rare. The dial is repainted brown waffle/honeycomb dial and it’s excellent condition. Black or brown dials are very difficult color to maintain. Hence, to come across one in this great of a condition is really a grail timepiece. Secondly the text is very unique compared to other Constellation’s of it’s time, sporting an applied gilt star, indexes and Arabic numerals on top of the chronometer text instead of “constellation”. Finally, adding to all the points listed above the watch has a 100% unpolished 14K Gold case that has really keep well over the years. Important note that the original crown and crystal are also present. Manufacturer: Omega Year: 1954 Reference No: n/a Model Name: Constellation Material: 14 K solid gold case .Calibre: Omega 354 Bracelet/Strap: 18mm lugs to lugs Brown Leather"

Hey – it could have been worse. The seller actually states that the dial was refinished.
