Today I purchased a double winder from Wolf. My biggest complaint is the LCD display is difficult to read at any angle other than looking at it straight on. So I mounted it in my closet at eye level. I do believe the overall build quality to be good and it's dead silent.

 

Good choice on Wolf Roadster, though the price is a bit eye-watering. I went through two other brands that failed within a few months, but my Wolfs have been going strong for almost 2 years. Like you say, they're dead silent. You can run it in the safe using batteries when you go on vacation.

 

Totally agree that the Wolf winders are super quite. I have a few single ones and a triple Savoy and they are DEAD silent. Major issue I have with my triple is that the watch holders on top are useless. They are extremely narrow. There is no way to fit a watch in there.
