People find a watch and think it鈥檚 a lottery ticket so often. I guess that makes it all the more special when someone actually does pull a lotto ticket watch, that Paul Newman a new member asked about earlier in the year just sold for a little under 200k in Hong Kong

This one has the potential to be a very nice watch:

Pictures were taken from the 2nd moon of Mars.

But that price!

On a positive note, the seller reduced the asking price from 89k to 49k USD. If it is further reduced by a factor of 10-20, maybe it will sell.

This is a unique take on the possibility to get a watch and your money back at a future time. Hard to pass this deal up. But gotta admire the hustle.

I'm almost tempted to write back.
"Dear M.A.H. Nice watch, I'd like to buy it, but I think we can come to a far better arrangement. Your offer to pay me back $4999.99 as and when you can is generous, but rather onerous for you. And with no disrespect to you - I do not know you - I am running the risk that you will not ever be in a position to pay me back. Rather than have you encumbered by this large debt for the foreseeable future, wouldn't it be better to reduce the sum to be paid back?
I feel that $500 would be both an acceptable amount for me to risk, and for you to carry as a debt here. Can we agree upon that? If so please let me know and I'll pay the $500 for the watch and you can post it immediately. "

Ambitious with the non-original parts (bezel, hands, whatever else). I guess they are hoping someone will fall in love with the brown dial.
