I realize the can of worms I’m opening with this thread, but I think it could be fun.

I’d love to hear everyone’s wish list for our hypothetical Omega Forum LE Speedy.

Here is a little Inspiration I found this morning at a thrift shop for a possible LE Omega Forum Speedy. Nothing says LE Speedy like a relatively obscure comic book::bleh::;)

Please, we all know it has to be a mash up of the Apollo Soyuz and the Grail.

Welp, Foo has jumped right to the holiest of holy grail watches. Thought he may let the fun go for a bit longer, but it appears we have reached the conclusion of this “wish list” :p;););)

I was being Snarky those 2 watches have more BS attached to them and associated epic fail threads then any other watch on this forum. I’m pretty sure those are the last 2 watches that should be involved.

Tintin mk2 with rocket sub dial darker red chapter ring with off white faux patina ish between. Special snoopy type looking caseback with sprinkles for stars probably push fit with the rocket in space and moon in the distance. Limited to 2019 pieces and mine is no1.

    Moonwatch implies moon

moon is made of cheese (that is why they could not land on it, and had to stage a landing in a warehouse for TV purposes -- the real moon would have melted)

Swiss are great at making cheese

So a cheese-inspired LE Speedy would tick all of the boxes. Faux cheese sticks for the main hands, faux fried mozzarella sticks for the subdial hands, each subdial patterned to look like a different wheel of cheese, etc...

Great idea, can I also just suggest some grilled Halloumi cheese for a faux 'waffle effect' dial too?

Yeah this is good stuff. I have read that a new Cheesalite crystal is in development . This seems to be made from one of the strongest yet flexible Swiss cheeses and is guaranteed to smell cheesy for fifteen years at least.

My vote for this LE : will be panda and have Paul Newman subregisters (and a splash of red and and...), engraved on the back will be no mention of OF, rather #rolexrefugees...

I don’t mind... but it should only be available to OF members with at least 617 posts...

I can’t tell if you are kidding or not but I actually dig that aesthetic:) The panda with red accent and those Art Deco registers...I’d cop that. I also appreciate the #RR. Shots fired at Rolex::stirthepot::

50 years Alaska Project... Omega's research for the design & production of the ultimate Space watch... the ultimate Speedmaster !
Oh wait, probably not important enough, celebrating a blog, of which in a decade no one will realise/know what it is/was, seems more important these days...

My fingers are crossed for the Alaska Project, but I too am afraid they will give the nod to something less historically significant. Or perhaps they will combine the two. I made mention of this on another thread, but perhaps the ST#3 will be the 50th Apollo and/or Alaska Project. Further ::stirthepot::
