    Can one swap the hands and crown from a cal. 354 Connie to a cal. 501/5, and vice versa?

    Hands, probably not. Crown, maybe. That would depend on the case reference, not the movement.

    You can interchange anything with the proper tools.

    Thanks, interesting. Would ref. 2700 or 2799 crown swap with a ref. 2853? Further, just as a matter of curiosity, I'm guessing that a ref. 2700 crown is different than its ref. 2699 brethren, due to the different case specs?

    Hands definitely not, crown depends on the diameter of the case tube.

    Aside from issues related to hand style, length, etc there is the matter of hole size for the hands; For a cal 354 the sizes are 0.75/1.40 and for a 501 they are .80/1.50
    So since the hole sizes are different it is not a simple swap without having to modify hole size.
