Why would I sell a perfectly crisp Flagship that came with it's presentation box?

To get a perfectly good Admiral that also comes with it's box - and all the other extras - plus a very uncommon dial. It's a caliber 342 so I can check off another box in my quest for one example of each of Longines' in-house automatics.

As nice as the Flagship is, there's no room for 2 automatic versions of the same series and the date at 12 caliber 341 will always win out. But it's going to a forum member so I know it'll be in good hands.

Bonus: this new Admiral is from 1966 so it's another birthyear watch.

Thanks. In this instance, my other Flagship won out.

Besides, gotta keep on track and stick with the plan. This watch is not only more uncommon, it's also a caliber I was missing. If the Flagship going out had a 342 or even a 340 it would have stayed.

:p Nope, the Flagship basically funded a little more than half of the doctor's dialed Admiral. I'll be picking and choosing what's outgoing over the next few months to fund some real world projects and pick up 2 or 3 important pieces that fit into my collecting plan. While it's fun to snag a cool watch when one pops up, if it doesn't fill a slot it doesn't last long in my box.

I liked it too. Wouldn't mind having it in the manual wind 30LS version one day.

Just a nice clean dial, no clutter. Beautiful piece. I may have to add one of those to my list, although I think I would go with a manual wind

Dont worry about the why my friend, the Flagship is indeed in good hands - I'm now dealing with another instance from the wife where she says ...."hmmm I like this one too"...

Just bought another 342 (Kyle's Jumbo Seamaster with the white waffle dial) so Windy could wear the 35 mm version. If it keeps her away from my VC and AP's then it's a wise move. :p

Hahaha! I've been looking at a nice 341 myself... Would not give it to my wife though, but then again, I have no VC...
