·I like the things I would have liked to own when I was young but couldn't afford. I like vintage and antique items generally for their history and craftsmanship. I have the collecting bug. It's a perfect storm and no use fighting it. Luckily Mrs E is very kind and indulges my affliction. It's better than drugs, alcoholism, womanising, gambling and other less mentionable pursuits, as I never tire of reminding her.
