Interesting. Lovely constellation. I'd like to know more about KB too. Really inadequate info on it.

I haven't researched most, but Huguenin Frères were, broadly speaking, among the very best case makers of the period.

Cool. Is there any reference that reminds you that they're famous for?

I believe that they were used on the early Seamaster 300 and Railmaster models. They were also used on other high-quality sports watches such as Universal Genève Polerouter, and Certina DS.

Amazing. That sums up their build quality. I've had the pleasure to own a seamaster 300 for a while

And while we are at it, does anyone know who SF were/are, who made the cases of the connie ref 168.045 (ST 368.0845) integrated bracelet models

i dont have a photo of my one, but here is a photo of a much nicer one shamelessly “borrowed” from the web ( apologies in advance)

Sorry, but this doesn’t make sense. Why would they be „the best“ only due to the fact that a watch they made (some) cases for was „iconic“? Besides, if you are referring to Speedies from the 60s, CB certainly did not make the case for „most“ of them.
Also, your list is badly informed. You leave out very respected firms like eg Antoine Gerlach SA, who also made lots of Patek cases, or Serva SA.
And what about C.R. Spillmann? They were even involved in the development of the Oyster case FAIK.

I apologize for my limited knowledge. Thanks for informing. Surely they deserve to be added. I'll edit the post

A newish member makes a post about a list of Omega casemakers, and then you reply with a caustic put down.

Instead you could have replied in a constructive/supportive tone and added your obviously incredible knowledge of Omega casemakers to this post.

BTW, Which Omega "Oyster" cases were produced by Spillman?

Wow.

I am replying to this only because you are a old member (mod?) here.

I pointed out that the OPs statement was factually wrong (CB made the cases for most iconic Spedies) and pointed out that the conclusion the member took from that statement was faulty from a logical point of view (therefore they made the best cases). Whether @Sacredglass was new to the forum did not come into it, in my mind. I consider him a grown man who can withstand that sort of criticism. And I went on to name case makers missing from his list.

You, on the other hand, Sir, have outright insulted me. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The OP never stated that "CB made the best cases".

He voiced an opinion, i.e.: "I think CB made the best cases as they made it for most iconic speedys etc etc.".

(my bold)

If there is a language differential involved here, then we should all think before we comment, this is an international forum and English (and the nuances) may not be understood or interpreted correctly by all readers.

I still consider your post to be abrasive and could have been couched in a more supportive/informative tone.

As to your other comments, I am not a moderator and yes I am an "older" member, and as such, I call out posts where i feel it is warranted.

Unfortunately, in your case, I'm not ashamed of myself for doing so.

And in conclusion..............................
