    No, not the fellow who wrote all the sambas.

    Ephrem Jobin was the movement designer who penned the 135, which swept the chronometry competitions every year from 1950 to 1954. Amazingly, M. Jobin is still alive. In this video http://www.zenith-watches.com/en/#/video/v/4 he is interviewed at the age of 101 by the current CEO, Jean-Frederic Dufour. He started with Zenith in 1938, and was also responsible for Zenith's bumper caliber, 133. It's a reminder that watchmaker was for decades a way to make a living, a modest trade, far different from the superstar watchmakers of today, and an altogether interesting time capsule.
