I saved myself the agony of indecision by waiting too long. 😀

I’ll just keep saving for the Apollo II 50th next year.

Same here a day late and a dollar short

Usually I'm clueless these pre-orders exist until it's too late, but I was probably #400 or so a week ago. However, I was also considering the Ball Watch Co world timer diver LE but it was too busy looking for me, although I think pre-orders are still available for this who want an unusual but affordable limited diver (half the cost of the DOXA).

I doubt that will happen in this case. It didn't really happen to the Black Lung, and that was 300 pieces that sold in less than a day.

Congrats to anyone who ordered one! I was skeptical at first but Doxas are really something special in the metal.

I have to agree on this. Until I saw a friends black lung the beauty of Doxas was lost on me through pics only

Didn't this sell something like 400 pieces in one 1-4 days, then another 7 days to sell the last 100?

Yes, I mean to say it took so much longer for this one to sell out compared to the Black Lung that I doubt the demand will be high enough to support price gouging. And congrats to anyone who ordered one simply because Doxas are amazing watches!

long story about that set..... i bought it off ebay... dial was trashed... was a display piece.. was not touch in years.... dial was sub damaged.

This is like in 1996-97 I wrote to Doxa asking if they had any spare parts... like a dial or hands.. A new Dirk Pitt novel was just published. I told them they should do some sort of joint marketing with the author of the bookk as it was just release. They had no idea what I was talking about so I sent them the photo of the back cover of the book showing the watch among other things.... They were amazed and I have them contact info ... and back to my watch... . they told me to send the watch to them.. I said ok.. sent it they wanted to do a total overhaul. I told them i have a local watchmaker that I work with ... so they sent it back to me with dial hand hands... i forget what they charged me or if they gave it to me as a gift... really dont remember.

Best

Ah yes the Poseidon Adventure model. They put the dial on upside down but then spoiled the effect by putting the crown on the opposite side.

The deluxe cased version comes wrapped in a pair of Stella Stevens' panties.

Doxa have made the yellow 20mm Isofrane strap available for pre-order, to ship with your Poseidon, in their shop for US$79.
https://shop.doxawatches.com/shop/u...rubber-strap-made-by-isofrane/?v=6cc98ba2045f

Looks like yellow has only been available recently in 22m at the aquadive store. Not sure if they've ever made it previously in 20mm.

I'm thinking it might be just that little bit too much for me and I'm expecting to leave mine on the beads of rice which is such a big part of the Doxa look in my mind.
Still, if you're going to go yellow then why not go big. I expect this will be a summer/holiday/weekend rotation watch for many anyway.

This is the closest reference point I could find in a quick google search (courtesy of Pinterest)

SUB750T GMT has 21mm lug width, I think.

Not much to talk about until watches start getting delivered I guess. I prefer this to pages and pages of inane speculation (looking at you, Omega 60th anniversary thread 🙄).

Patience is key when dealing with Doxa... the wait for my Black Lung was excruciating but it was worth it!

I state at the website everyday, but patience is a rarely practiced virtue for me.

Once again Doxa do things their own way 😗

I'm pretty sure I'll be in the first 50 but think I'll wait until a few others have had a crack at paying over the weekend. The yellow isofrane offer didn't seem too well executed and many had trouble getting Doxa to communicate with them about it.

I am pretty sure they send out the emails in order of the deposit/original order. If you log in on the doxa website the final balance will show in your bucket and you can pay straight forward via credit card or paypal(wasnt available the first ours). The link was posted on WUS official forum i think that messed up the order # a little but i had the final balance done yesterday 😀

... think I'll wait until a few others have had a crack at paying over the weekend.

So what does the Muppet (me 😜) who keeps repeating that "you can't trust anything that Doxa says" go and do?
He takes their above quoted statement so literally that he believes he has until 22nd May to make his payment as Doxa won't be shipping anything until then. Wrong. 🤦
He believes he is still in line for an 'early' limited edition number as Doxa stress that orders will be issued in the sequence pre-orders were placed. Wrong again. At least this is what you'd have to assume based on various posts on other forums. 😒

Oh well. No big deal I suppose.
I just hope that the two day delay I left making payment doesn't now mean I'll have to wait another two or three weeks for shipping.

Oh to return to the simple days when these silly caseback engravings didn't get us all so worked up 😉 because they didn't exist 😎
