I love those. Such an excellent chassis. I rented one last month as a Turo on a work trip. A 10yr old Boxter IMO is like the best entry level sports car for an enthusiast looking to carve fun windy roads. How is it <for her> to daily?

With the 15" wheels now, top down, almost time to bring it out for the season.
What a beauty! Enjoy the ride 👍

That is a gorgeous SL. One of my favorite cars I ever owned was a 79 450SEL. It was possibly the handsomest sedan I have owned.

Aside from engine changes and minor items, the same car was produced from 1971 to 1989. A timeless design - very similar to your 450SEL. Mine's an '83 Euro spec 500SL, residing stateside.

My Cherry trees in their full glory. Couldn’t resist a pic of my 94 F150 among them. Spring is springing.

All you have to do is give that thing a good rev and the vibrations will clear the trees of blossoms

Ah, but no. 351 Windsor v8, but factory exhaust. I’m way too old to screw up a truck with loud pipes. 😉

2016 Subaru Legacy 3.6R….Flies perfectly under the radar. Aesthetically boring but what a competent vehicle. Excellent fit and finish…Zero rattles!
UPDATE
After 5 years of faithful and reliable service, the Legacy has moved on. I really loved that car. The H6 was a silky smooth mile gobbler on the highway. The build quality was the best of all the cars I’ve owned and that includes a plethora of BMWs. I’ll never go back to 2 WD. All wheel drive is it for me. Traded my Legacy for another Subaru. 2020 Outback XT Outdoor edition. Only 31,000 kms (20K miles).
The 2.4L turbocharged engine is quite impressive. I’m still amazed at the build quality. Rock solid! Zero rattles! This is the one that’ll bring me into retirement in a few years.

‘65 mustang vintage racer. Pulled from a North Carolina junkyard in 1996:

restored in my garage 1996-2000. Raced by me from 2000-2010

Converted from pure race to street legal in 2021

transferred to my middle son in Austin TX this year - keeping it in the family.
That is f**king impressive!

I drive rental cars off road. It's a real skill of the world traveler.
You didn’t sink that hideous noddy box shopping trolley deep enough……… Must try harder!
