Three pocket watches from approximately the same vintage. Who did it better? Is there really even a winner?
All have gorgeous design features, and these 3 are in particularly good shape...hard to say who did it better. The movement on the IWC is killer!
If you want my opinion (and it sounds like you're asking), I'd say Longines did it best - but only by a hair.
Not quite into pocket watches but the IWC is my favorite - proportions are just right in my eyes. All 3 are lovely though !
+1 for the IWC - the design and proportions are spot on. All beautiful pieces though. Love the blue hands on the Omega
Yes I have to agree they all look fantastic and for me the IWC takes 1st place. Beautiful, crisp design and faultless execution.
You guys are right - it was unfair of me to only show the IWC movement. Here they all are (don't mind the dust - they haven't been serviced in decades):
I like the IWC design much more. It has the same look as old pateks I've seen. More surface area and less wheels shown.
Knowing what the Longines is like and the IWC inside, I would say those are the better watches. I have a thing for Longines, so I would say that one is my favourite personally. In this era they were as good as anyone out there IMO. Cheers, Al
The dial on the Longines just nudges it as the best for me, the movement on the Iwc sure is pretty but i look at the dial more than the movement.
