I finally saw one of these in person at the OB in Honolulu. It is definitely really WHITE! It's not my style, but I could see certain kinds of people who could pull this watch off. I'm just now one of them...

At least in a manner that is remotely useful. I suppose it is my own fault for wording the question too vaguely so that the mentally challenged assumed that it was soliciting general opinion. It was not a post seeking affirmation and validation of the type of wearer before or popularity of the design before purchase.

With hindsight it should have opened with “can owners of this specific model please comment on their ownership experience” or something like that. So i accept my error.

To be honest it was a long shot as I was aware before posting that they were very rare and split opinion quite extremely.

And the intended recipients/wearers both fit your preconceptions so all good.

Have made a offer so will wait to see if accepted. Thanks everyone all the same.

Honestly, your OP simply said "Anyone own one of these?" That does not really match say what info you are looking for, or even that you only wants responses from those who own the watch. Please be more explicit in your posts if you want better replies.

Please post the wrist shot. I am curious to see what it looks like under natural light. It is hard to tell from the sterile picture Omega provides.

 

I can see these working in a summer, maybe boating situation, especially with a colorful NATO striped strap. I can see some wealthy guy with shorts and loafers on his boat entertaining friends and family.

Very white and very "plastic". That gives it a very weird look
As stated above: to wear one, either you need a massive pair, or not at all.

Anyway, if you like it then you were right to buy it

My only concern is the white strap. The WSOTM will remain as white as now, but I do not expect the strap to stay as clean... And with a watch as white as this one, it will be really noticable

 

Realistically if you can drop $8k+ on a watch, getting a new $250 strap every two years shouldn't be a big deal.

 

I think it would probably look worn fairly quickly? I'd find a white silicone strap or a NATO, possibly with a thin red stripe...

 

It’ll be on a Nato. Planning to order one or both of these. I’m not ‘over the moon’ about the strap (the glossy), so was always planning to fond an alternative.

I think it looks very striking on the red NATO with the white stripes.

Sorry @efauser - i seem to have responded to the wrong post and ‘quoted’ you rather than the previous post (now deleted) it seems - that was complaining about the redundancy of the thread.

Oddly enough though - whilst ai accept that there is already a thread or two about the WSOTM. There are literally 100s of threads about ‘look I got a new PO’ or plastic crystal moonwatch. So compared to those having one duplicate about a white watch is hardly crime of the century and I’m sure it is not entirely beyond the technical abilities of the Mods to merge it if they see fit. Judging by the overall reactions, I doubt there’ll be another thread for a few years ha ha!
