White gold dogleg up for auction

I’m posting this auction listing as white gold doglegs are something of a rare beast and rarely come up for open sale.
The watch is in reasonable condition but not mint by any means and it will be interesting to see what the market thinks of it.

It was doing the rounds with two dealers prior to this, no sign of it in their archives though. See here:

Good catch - I hadn't recognised the watch from the previous thread.
Evidently no takers on the retail market, so moving the stock via auction.

Not sure that I would have used Tennants as the auction house, as opposed to, say, a specialist house known for watch sales.

That may have a reason

Presuming the last dealer still has it, I’m sure they do have a reason for using Tennants - possibly proximity or a good deal with commission.

And since Tenants sales are on the web it will be seen by potential buyers.
However, Tennants aren’t known for their high-end watch sales and it may not cause the same stir as it might have done if it were among other uncommon and desirable vintage watches.
