Hi all I own an Omega Constellation from 1956, and I consider it a classic vintage watch. My definition of this is it's beautiful, the design is timeless, and it's movement is reliable. It's also a name brand. Perhaps you have a different definition, but I think you probably understand my meaning. What are some other "classic vintage watches" in a similar price bracket to an old Omega Constellation? I guess that means somewhere between $1500 - $3500. Thanks for your comments.
There are a number of Swiss watches that fall into that category, Particularly if you want to consider chronographs, even the quartz Heuer pieces are gaining value. Let's not forget Tudor, IWC et al.
I assumed that the OP was looking for a specific model name, not entire brands or calibers. I guess maybe I didn't "understand his meaning" after all.
I think the Zodiac Seawolf is up there, Glycine Airman. But those are both a bit more rugged. I think I'd prefer a Conquest as others have mentioned.
JLC Powerwind or Futurematic but I say this with a caveat as they can be difficult and expensive to repair.
These are great pieces, and exactly what first got me into watches. My father had a watch very similar to that one ... sadly it is a re-dial.
What no Pateks or VC's? Oh that's right he said in the same price range...Maybe an Eterna Kontiki? I've been eyeing those on e&ay lately but have no specific knowledge of what to buy.
