Ha ha excellent !
yours is like new ! I didn't know there were Seamasters in those cases !
The lume spots on mine are gone with the paint, but i don't really mind, i like this watch, it looks cool and comfortable to wear, it's kind of my "daily beater" , especially when it's rainy and i don't feel like wearing an older one that can't stand a drop of water.

Thanks, it's not quite like new, look at the quarters especially the 9 but I still like it. The case reference is 135.041 and the movement is a 601. I've only ever seen one other like it and they must have only made them for a short period.

Thanks. This is mine that I'm just trying to nail down authenticity on (waiting it's turn at the spa):

Hi everyone
I am familiar with the term vintage and I just wanted to know if there is a rule that defines when a watch is vintage?

Not exactly, but during the quartz crisis lot of historic manufacturer have close their door and it was a hard time for the others, financial issues, loss of quality, the traditional brands who survive after takeover or merger had to change the way they producing and marketing watches. I would say what is after this period is contemporary, before is vintage, but that is my point of view ...

A 145.022-71 (and a cat).

I like both the Speedy and the cat, `71 being my birth-year!

Agreed! Very happy to have it in the collection. I’ll just have to replace the crystal (hairline crack at 6 o’clock).
