congratulations @Rudi99 !

I have been a long time "lurker" of the forum and haven't been able yet to take the time to document the collecting journey i have been through since 2015, just a few pieces here and there but never with the amount of time i would love to invest being a diligent member sharing opinions and lessons learned.

I second your appreciation for the forum and its members, always very approachable and supportive both in the open threads and DMs, they helped and also shaped my collecting goals through time, hope you'll find it as exciting as i do after 6 yrs πŸ‘

Duccio

Thank you for the kind comment! Do share! For me it is really part of the fun.

Remembering now my talk with this french collector, he did ask himself if there would be so many people collecting if it was not for the internet. I think he has a point, and that even though it can be addictive to show off pieces, I think it can be still a neat thing sharing and observing the collections and habits of others! 😜

Ah, Omega Forums. Enabler of addiction, albeit an interesting and fun one. I can stop anytime I want. 😲

Yeah, same here! This addiction talk is just nonsense... I have been reading OF and been on instagram seeing watches every single day the past year and I am not addicted! πŸ˜—

Happy anniversary and nice collection @Rudi99

I get where he’s coming from.

Thank you kindly.

I think I get to understand this kind of "hidden" value more and more. This collector I met is able to show pictures of the former owners of his pieces wearing them throughout the years. He can say where the watches came from and where they were.

When I come to think of it, it is indeed a true token of appreciation for his own collection and for the time he invested in hunting the pieces. It might be a small collection, but I see now his motivation through your comment better and respect it so much.

The green strap looks fantastic, where did you get it? post the link, please.
As a German, I would say it is a Molequin? Am I right?! πŸ˜€

Thank you for the kind comments, guys.

Very sharp eye, @Gui13250 !

Indeed I have been wanting a Molequin strap for a long time. They are in my opinion though very pricy, so I went with this one from Monstraps.

I must say I am very pleased with it. It is very high quality and goes well with the Piepan indeed. I recommend it for sure.

It is called Epsom. The colour is taupe. Here is the link.

For 70€ a piece I see great value in these. They take however quite long to be made (two weeks) but the delivery time is very fast.

Thanks for sharing your collection and journey.

I appreciate the comment, thank you!

πŸ‘
So I would also like to echo: Thank you again, OF!

πŸ‘ thank you for sharing! The french collector I was talking to is also a fan of Hi-Fi, maybe it is the vintage appeal... I like vintage clothing, but that is a topic for another thread!

Happy anniversary, @Rudi99!. Looking forward to many years of interesting exchanges, watch and non-watch related.

Ditto, my friend! πŸ˜‰

Happy anniversary, I hope in the coming year you expand your collection to such a degree that I'll be able to buy your C-Case πŸ˜‰

Thank you and the dibs is dully noted still!
