I normally reserve the vintage pieces for when I wear a suit and tie. So this night we have a customer event and my Constellation is getting some wrist time.

How frequently are you approached by strangers asking about your watches?

Hi,
I have not seen the movement yet because I was given it by my father as a present and he told it had just been serviced. I believe it is a calibre 505 model 2930.
Regards

My tropical Speedy. It is difficult capturing just how perfect this dial is. Goes from black to brown beautifully depending on the lighting.

Hi Castro, hope you are fine, could you please tell me the reference number of this watch? Thanks
Hi. The reference is 136.017. It has inside the cal. 613, hand wind, with quick set date.

Perhaps I am being Capt Obvious, that's a redial (not there is anything necessarily wrong with that if you're ok with it)

Yes, it's clearly a redial. It was discussed in this forum some time ago, when I asked if "does it "screams" redial?" At the beginning I felt a little bit sad when I heard "It's awful", "It's on the interesting side of ridiculous"... But all of us know that there are much worst redials... But today I understand those answers and I even laugh about them. And that is because they are right in the collector's point of view. But i'm not a collector. I'm ok with this redial because the original was in very bad shape. And it belonged to a family member already passed away. That value can not me measured.
