Which Omega would match that strap ?

Hello Everyone,

New to the forum, in love with Omega (i have a few vintage ones), and just found a nice original Omega strap in a shop closure sale. It was in their stock, they did not remember since when. My guess is sometime, and probably for a quartz watch, given the shop usual prices. It is 18mm at the widest and 12mm between the tenons. I cannot seem to find other straps like this one, and after a long search, i still have no clue as to which watch it would fit. Constellation ? So I turn to you good people ! Can you point me in the right direction or explain me what the deal is with that attachment type ?

Greetings from Paris!
Jessica

Hi Don, the logo is indeed stamped, as is the material used (croco). I looked carefully if there was any serial on the clasp, but nothing.

I am imagining that this would be for a watch with a protruding center tab (which would fit between the tubes) instead of two typical lugs. It doesn't look familiar to me.

Thanks Dan, i came to the same conclusion but i don't even understand how the two would attach. One tenon is hollowed out; the other as well but not through and I cannot see if there's a thread. Mystery strap...^_^

Can you take closeup photo of both sides of buckle? That may have value but the strap itself is useless without the specific watch.

A pin or screw would enter through the side with a through hole. You would need to determine for yourself if there are threads (and find the correct screw) or whether a friction pin is needed. Given that one side has a blind hole, I think there are probably threads.

But as @SOG53 noted, if the buckle is legit, it's probably best just to salvage it and re-use it. It may not be easy to find someone who needs this particular strap.

Indeed ! and when i saw it in the store that was closing business, i did not hesitate ! It is brand "new". Just have to find the watch it pairs with now out of sheer curiosity. I could indeed at the very last resort use the buckle alone. But i am perseverant...^_^

I suppose you could look into the watches with integrated bracelets - where perhaps Omega made some strap for a fit like below?

Thank you both, I also found this, and everything seems to point towards a leather strap for a constellation...The image is from a listing on ebay, and it looks really close to what i have on that strap.

Thats a spare link for the metal bracelet like @Endshake photo above. I dont think it will help you regarding a leather strap. I have not seen the Manhattan style watches with leather strap, only integrated bracelets- but maybe there are some with ladies watches- I would search for that but I dont think this link will help you
