Which Nomos fits a small wrist better?

I actually stopped in at a Nomos AD the other day and was looking at the Tangente and Orion both in 35mm. I was wondering what others though fits a smaller wrist better? My wrists are about 6.25".

I prefer the orion but that is primarily due to the shape of the lugs.

The models exist in various sizes. So my suggestion is to try them and pick the one which you prefer. Afterall it will be on your wrist.

The funny thing about wrist shots is that it's difficult to look at them and judge how well a watch wears on the wrist. IMO, in a wrist shot the watch always looks much larger than it does in reality. So, I agree with the previous poster - only you can decide what fits you best as you try them on. In your pictures, they both look similar to me in terms of size on the wrist (I prefer the look of the one with the numbers though, but that's a size-independent opinion).

I agree completely. The thing with Nomos is the lugs on those watches make it look much larger than it actually is on paper. I like the Tangente look, but I believe the Orion's lugs wrap around the wrist better.

Here are my 2 cents. The Orion lug does fit to wrist better when I tried it on, lug design of Tangente is more of an aesthetic decision than an ergonomic solution. The thin front profile of the lug also makes the Tangente look bigger compare to Orion.

I wish they made the Tangente lugs curve downward slightly. Just so it would drape around the wrist better.

Agree with everyone else, the Orion sat much better on my 6.5 inch wrist mostly due to the lug design.

Don't forget about the Tetra (the original manual wind version with alpha movement), which is 29.5mm square and wears well (my wrist is 6.75" in the photo).

I find the closer your wrist shot, the bigger the watch looks. Ultimately, how it looks in real life is the best gauge. And it should make you 100% happy, from how it looks to how the lugs interact with your wrist.

Although the lugs may contribute to the watch wearing larger than its size would indicate, it’s really the proportion of dial to bezel that makes these wear so large.

This is my 35mm Tangente beside the dial from a 42mm or so SM300...

And with that dial on top of the Nomos, you can see that the dial of the Nomos is much larger in this 35mm watch than the dial from the much larger watch is...

This is an eye opening post, wow.

@OP - I'm a 6.25 incher too. The Orion looks better on you IMO, the Tangente looks like it's hovering above your wrist with those lugs.

Does Nomos’ almost zero bezels impact the rigidity of the watch in any way? I’m guessing these watches don’t flex or the crystals would pop off and customers wouldn’t put up with that for long...

    Hi,
I really like Nomos! I think you might want to try out the Metro 35mm as the lugs are much shorter and thereby fits a smaller wrist better in my humble opinion. I have this 38mm on my 17.5cm wrist.

Here's my 35mm neomatik. I live it and it wears very well.

Did you tried the 33mm Tangente? It could be a great solution for your wrist.

    My wrist is 6.75 inches.

I tried th 39mm version of this watch and it felt too big relative to the 35mm.

I love the blue dial, wire lugs, sub second dial and orange sub second hand. It all works really well. The only "issue" I have with the watch is that the silver hour and minute hands are sometimes not easy to see against the dial in certain light. I don't care though. :)

I'm considering picking up another one at some point.
