Everytime someone says “ rare “ watch … I keep think of of ordering a steak at Peter Luger’s .

I always like the term uncommon personally …. But as @Davidt posted it’s fun to revisit …..

I've read my 27.9 SOB NN is super-rare, especially in 17 jewel. That's also 3/0 size, negative set. It was cased in Canada.

I have two watches in my collection in which I have never seen another. The first is this one that I posted above:

This one has been replaced by an even rarer Geneve - the only black waffle dial Geneve I’ve ever seen (jumbo 2748 ref).

1969 Breitling 2116 calibre 11 18k, a 100 piece limited edition, I've seen photos of 4 others

1972 Seiko 0614-5000 (aka the 06LC), Seikos first digital in titanium. It set numerous firsts, including 1st 6 digit and 1st microlight. Not sure on the production numbers, but a collector on Facebook tracks them an knows of only 6 working examples

1973 Seiko 3823-7030 V.F.A. 18k, Seikos 2nd quartz movement family, and the world's first thermo compensated. It was the world's most accurate watch, beating the Omega Megaquartz 2.4mhz. This is the rate 18k version. I don't know exact numbers but likely low hundreds.

Early 90s Casio AW-20 Skyline Racing. In saw one other photo years back on a car forum but I can't find it now. History unknown
