Where would your money go if it wasn't for watches?

I used to collect art, but since no longer have a house there is no where to hang them.

So worth it when using a nice knife, but pain to maintain. And hide them from wife, as she seems to think they can go in dishwasher. These are from two different Japanese knife makers.

They sell all sorts of sharpening stones in the shop. Totally clueless as to what to do with them all

My money is split between watches, travel and 1st edition books, my wife is cheap to run and only wants to go to watch football and buy lego sets which she loves building. I love my wife, but she does think clocks are silly.

Two properties at least one hundred miles away, hire of a removal company and dozens of flags as I wave my two daughters on the way.
YES it has been one of these days 🤬

Never mind what, it would be a waste in comparison to vintage timepieces!😀
I do love vintage and sports cars, it is however both cheaper and easier to stack away a few dozens of watches compared to a few dozen exotic cars😀
Apart from watches I would spend money on a nice sailboat. Trouble is that there is no longer time to go sailing, so until the kids grow up and out I will not be able to pursue that desire. Until the time again arises I just have to comfort myself with images of the longe since lost past...

BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand. That's why I don't own even a share of one anymore.

Getting back into an old past time because Windy seems to enjoy it: bowling. Major factor: it's indoors in the air conditioning! 👍

Mostly modern.. Most vintage stuff either shouldn't be fired because of value or because it might blow up in your face. Unless of course your talking reproduction vintage... I really enjoy bolt action target rifles.. I have quite a few in different calibers.. Pretty fond of my modified Remington 700VLS in 22-250...

I gave up smoking a pipe in 1979, when I was paying $1.59 for a pouch of pipe tobacco (~50 grams). Last I checked, that same pouch of tobacco was close to $16.00! My collection of watches has cost me a LOT less than tobacco would have, had I not quit smoking. But to your question, it might have been smarter had I been investing in real estate! Real estate might have been more lucrative, but a lot less enjoyable. The difference between life and living is having a few nice things!

More would go into the woodwork shed. Need a new SawStop table saw.

Taking donations and will cover shipping. 😀
