Does anyone know where I can find a strap like this? The double ridge design is relatively easy to find, but I'm specifically looking for one with the sort of "wrinkly" finish seen in this photo. Surely they must exist somewhere!
Hirsch makes them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hirsch-bl...p-100mm-waterproof-18mm-or-22mm-/221256594748Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hirsch come blue too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-HIRSCH-...tches_MensWatches_GL&var=&hash=item27d7772d33Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network An idea: buy a black one, bleach the gray stitching, color it blue with a permanent marker . Sharp.
Hadley Roma has a custom program that will make any size and type of strap from any of their current materials and colors. Curved ends too. Don't know how snugly the curve will fit the case, but worth checking out if you don't mind spending a little extra.
Did you notice the two links to replica sites (handbags) in the very first sentence? That's all I needed to see - they won't be getting any of my money.
Looks like the Omega strap, although mine has a tan color back. The part number stamped on it is 5463001. I've had mine about ten years so it many now be NLA.
I'm guessing they've discontinued their elephant straps too, which is a shame because I really liked those
Maybe we could go in one a group buy and all get one elephant. Could probably finds someone in Australia to peel it for us.
What do Zoos do with theirs when they cark it? Potentially they'd have to get rid of it somehow, and a vintage elephant would have extra wrinkles in its hide for added character.
I have a nasty feeling that elephants live for quite a long time . . . waiting for the final curtain to come down on dear old Dumbo could get tedious
