What’s Your Summer Watch?

Spring is here and soon all the summer shenanigans begin. That means everyone must have a summer watch!

So, what makes a good watch for the sunniest, sweatiest season? Maybe a watch that’s extra robust? Or colorful, like a beautiful day in June. Maybe waterproof because you like to hang out on the beach! Or perhaps something really inexpensive because you have a habit of getting blackout drunk on your holiday which means you get mugged on the regular.

Post Your Watch! Can’t choose which is your dedicated seasonal timepiece? No worries, it’s perfectly OK to have more than one summer watch!

Here are mine:
Sinn 104 on a fine link bracelet. Robust, WR 20 bar and a white dial for a summery vibe.

Late ‘60s Candino dive watch on a nylon strap. Cheap, fun, and not going to get me targeted by bandits when I’m sunburnt and intoxicated.

No summer watch I'm afraid, the vintage vortex has sucked me in so deep, that among the pile of watches I own, there's not a single one I could wear with a peace in mind during the hot perspiring summer months, let alone take them into the water 👎 If my wallet agreed, it'd be most likely be a Black Bay though

Anything from my collection with a bracelet instead of a strap, but this is one of my favorites.

Looks outside...sees snow on the ground...

Too early to think of a summer watch...

I hear you. We have over 70cm (27 inches) of snow 😁 But today the sun is shining and I am an optimist!

I do use my PO 42mm 8500 for summer:

But I regret that I sold this one, orange is a perfect summer color IMO and fits very well with PO

Funny you should start this thread, because I am seriously considering purchasing a "summer" watch. Years ago, I had a Doxa Professional that I bought for that purpose when I moved to Florida. It was a perfect beach/pool watch and I enjoyed it a lot.

I foolishly sold it to purchase a watch I flipped almost immediately. Definitely thinking about getting another Doxa. If I do, I'll make sure to post a pic to this thread!

Soon I’ll move the NEW321 from its leather back to its bracelet - for more careful/dressed and in public occasions

But for every-occasion “beater” for gardening, pool, beach, and other chorein’ - if things go as planned - will always be the sub (that I hope one day looks like it’s been to hell and back)

Nothing on leather straps, so it's bracelets & NATOs only. I avoid the one chrome-plated case too. Bought this Hamilton for hot and/or wet duties and threw the original into the bag of spare straps, so it's the default choice on those sort of days. Snow forecast for tomorrow so I don't think I'll need it.

Better change out of those shorts too.

I find a beads of rice bracelet nice for summer wear.
A classic poor man’s Rolex 😀

Your right @Spruce. I have gotten into the game too late to even bag myself a simple Airking so have to be content with watches like these. I love it though. So nice to wear.
