Any watch I tell her I am going to sell suddenly becomes her favorite. “Oh ... you’re going to sell that one?” [adopts thoughtful expression].

Sorry to hi-jack, I know this isn’t what you were looking for. My wife loves her watches, but she doesn’t covet any that she doesn’t have. This is her favorite:

My wife’s dream watch was a Cartier Tank, which I was able to satisfy over Thanksgiving at the Cartier Boutique in NYC.

She chose the one on top.

My wife really wants a Rolex, this white gold Cellini is on her wish list at a local jeweller. A Cartier tank would also suit!

My wife has no interest in watches, and she would likely say this...
The cash from my collection back in the portfolio.🙁

She has recently had me searching options to upgrade her 1.29 ct engagement ring to a 2 ct. I found an option for her that meets her D color SI1 and excellent cut criteria, but she’s now having second thoughts at the price.

You wanted the SO’s dream with pic, this is the closest I can find online:

Go some size other than 1.0, 2.0 ct, etc, as whole number sizes usually get price bump. Go fancy colored too. If you do that any new watch that shows up has less chance of provoking her ire!

Got her a vintage Cartier Tank, which she adores. I have noticed her drooling over a few vintage gold Cellini’s. Atta girl!

Bulgari Serpenti, of course. But she also thinks spending over $100 for a watch is ridiculous, so not likely to ever actually happen.

I was having fun one day shopping for ideas for her and sending her pictures of vintage lady Seamasters, vintage Tudor Pricesses and such- she sent me this

The conversation ended there.

Her previous dream. Since already fulfilled, she’s thinking of another. Nothing concrete yet.

She does prefer diamonds, pearls, bags and shoes, among others.

Mine wants a 15450, but only if I can get the 15202 I want. Looks like we’re both S.O.L. for now.

If i’m wearing vintage, then so should she. 😀 Found this pristine and rare Sigma Linen dial -72 for her, now her favourite.

My wife’s dream watch has been this for years, and when I got it for her 30th birthday it was a moment I’ll never forget. It was a pain in the ass to find, in this exact spec

My wife’s dream watch was at first a Cartier Tank but then she saw a pink dialled Rolex Datejust 31mm and after a couple of months she bought that. She was perfectly happy with that for a couple of years but then she saw a photo of Sharon Stone wearing a Sub and began wearing my Sub on occasion. And then she found out that there was a green version of the Sub 🙄 She has the 116610LV now and hasn’t really talked about other watches since, so I think she has gotten her dream watch.

She has one watch, wears it every day for everything, and absolutely loves it. This checks off all her boxes, with lots to like here: Long (pre-TAG) history with the brand, blue mother of pearl dial, fairly subtle diamond bezel (with pretty nice diamonds on the 4C scale, according to the accompanying paperwork), sporty enough for the boat but dressy enough for anything we ever do. Plus, she loves the fact she never has to wind it!
